ABOUT KATE
Born in 1971 in Northampton shire, I started dancing at the age of 4 and imitating The Muppet Show characters at about the same time. While at The Arts Educational School in Tring I danced for 2 seasons with The Royal Festival Ballet in the nutcracker age 12. I performed with The NYMT in “Les Petit Rats” and Bertolt Brecht’s “The Caucasian chalk circle” all whilst at Christopher Gable’s Central school of Ballet. My giraffe impressions are legendary!
Working my way up from the back end of “Maggie the Cow” I was proud to work alongside my late father Michael in Ken Hill’s “Original Phantom of The Opera” and “Zorro”. The voices kept coming and several animated tv series later I was cast as Wendy in the Original “Bob the Builder”. Working on several Cameron Macintosh productions including “Oliver” and “Martin Guerre” “Hey Mr. Producer” and for Ian Talbot in “Gentleman prefer Blondes” at Regents Park, my voice acting career continued to thrive, working on other Bafta nominated and award-winning shows including “Timmy Time”, “The Secret Show” and the Oscar nominated and multi award winning “Shaun The Sheep” Series and Movies. I have a love for radio and was thrilled to have been included in the Audible Original live recording of “The Big Ben Theory” with “The Goodies”. I also Sing and though I have dipped my toe, or should I say my face into the world of Film in Jesse Lawrence “If you can hear me”, my voice craft keeps evolving ever onward as my ultimate passion and absolute Joy. My secret dream is to swap my chocolate Bafta for a real one!
